My Jaguars SUCK!! How can you keep the team pretty much the same, add a couple players, and get WORSE?! Makes me sick..:shakes head:

dmhenderson 10-21-2012 07:41 PM

I'm a Skins fan so I'd tell you to stop whining but I think the best you've ever done is that AFC championship game you lost to the Broncos your first year in existence so lol

They've only existed since the mid 90s. Some franchises have gone longer without a championship. :stirthepot:

b1adesofcha0s 10-21-2012 07:58 PM

So relieved that the Pats' D FINALLY made a play to save and win a close game. Our pass defense needs some serious improvement.

dmhenderson 10-21-2012 08:00 PM

Not many though. Let's see:
Browns in their current incarnation
Cardinals
Jags
Texans
Panthers
Titans
Falcons
Uggles (lmao eat sh*t)

Who else?

Some teams with championships haven't been back since the early 90s :stirthepot:

dmhenderson 10-21-2012 08:02 PM

Actually, I don't think the browns have won anythign since the merger so they can go join the sh*tpile.

Welll as you can see, quite a few have never won at all so I'm not gonna worry about that.

:roflpuke2::bowrofl: i was waiting for a reaction on that.

It is tough sledding for the jags, though. I hope one day they rebound.

You must be pretty excited this year with rg3. Good guy, on and off the field.

b1adesofcha0s 10-21-2012 08:17 PM

RG3 probably saved Shanahan's job for the season.

dmhenderson 10-21-2012 08:37 PM

He would have lasted through the season but probably not beyond. Putting up ~29 points per-game does quite a bit for a coach's rep in a town that's used to seeing infinite 13-7 losses.

dmhenderson 10-21-2012 09:59 PM

Skins in talks to resign Cooley :3

I am way happier about this than I should be.

eastwest2300 10-21-2012 10:03 PM

Shanahan's an idiot. Just my personal opinion.

eastwest2300 10-21-2012 10:04 PM

Actually both of them are, Kyle and his dad.

dmhenderson 10-21-2012 10:09 PM

he took the crap offense we had and turned it into one of the top 3 scoring offenses in the league. I can't hate.

Edit: Wait so Fred Davis goes down (probably for the year, looks like a bad achilles injury) and we go out and pick up our recently cut pro-bowl TE. Not going to argue that Shannahan has done some dumb stuff but how is this a stupid move? Cooley knows the offense and is a super reliable possession guy (assuming he stays healthy)

m4a1mustang 10-21-2012 10:17 PM

Damn those huddles are so dangerous.

Did you see that? In wrestling we call that "selling" the move.

b1adesofcha0s 10-21-2012 11:36 PM

Epic flop followed by a Roethlisberger punt :rofl2:

eastwest2300 10-22-2012 12:48 AM

When Roethlesberger punted the ball, I said to myself... wait a minute... did I just see him kick the ball.. wtf!?!

dennis26 10-22-2012 08:08 AM

Eli is Mr. Fourth Quarter.

b1adesofcha0s 10-22-2012 09:58 AM

I remember when Brady punted the ball in a game last season. It was towards the end in a blowout win and it started a big fight because he did it. It was a pretty good punt too IIRC.

Bears will dominate tonight cant wait :)

DAN

b1adesofcha0s 10-22-2012 12:18 PM

I hope that it's at least a close game and fun to watch. Though the way the Lions have been playing lately, the first 3 quarters will be horrible and the 4th will be the one to watch. Only thing is, can the Bears put the game out of reach early?

dmhenderson 10-22-2012 12:21 PM

woooo my first "I really don't care at all" MNF game. I'll still probably watch but no fantasy implications and dumb division no one cares about

I guess the packers are kinda interesting but w/e

b1adesofcha0s 10-22-2012 12:29 PM

Actually it looks like the strongest division in the NFL. Can you believe the Vikings are 5-2?

dmhenderson 10-22-2012 01:10 PM

Yeah they got soundly thumped by the 3-4 Redskins soooo...
Also I'd argue that "strongest division" does not necessarily equate to "best records" at least this early on.

That said, the bears (limbo?) and packers (old) look solid. Viks are counterfeit and lol Lions.
Oh and don't use the Cardinals as an example of what the Viks are capable of because they're crap too.

dmhenderson 10-22-2012 01:13 PM

NFC West is the nastiest division in football right now hands-down. Argument could be made for the East if the eagles weren't such garbage.

dmhenderson 10-22-2012 01:16 PM

I'd mention the lolboys and their "imminently doomed to fail uncoordinated offense" but I'd just be called a homer so w/e

Not saying the Vikings are good, just doing way better than I expected (which wasn't much in the first place). Bears and Packers are both strong. Lions should be doing better, but are still a dangerous team to play. I think they can still get better through the rest of the season if they start playing well, but don't think they will make the playoffs.

I agree about the NFC West though, some pretty mean defenses there. Still only see the Niners as serious playoff contenders though. If the other 3 teams had decent offenses to go with their defenses, then they would all be potential playoff teams. Seahawks I would say are a maybe for a wild card.

Subtract two words from the Vikings' equation and they're back to a sub .500 team. I bet you can guess what those two words are

You can probably say that about a lot of teams. It's not like they didn't have AP before.
