:iagree: too

back in 2010 I had extreme high expectation on his return since Mercedes won the championship and I thought they could carry on the momentum. But 3 years has passed and their performance has been disappointing...

I so much wish Schumy to stay in the sports but without a competitive car, plus his age... it is not a good scenario for him as a driver...

And Grosjean....

I don't see why Ferrari wouldn't keep Massa, this morning he pulled away from Raikkonen at the beginning when he needed to, and then he constantly keep himself slightly above 1s behind Alonso to ensure he won't get into the DRS thus catch up on him.....

He is supportive, obedient, can be either fast or slow, cheap, doesn't whine like Webber...

He is a keeper... :icon17:

6MT 10-14-2012 12:38 PM

I feel for Hamilton. Substandard setup and soon to be unemployed.

He is going to Mercedes next season, which means "see you struggling in midfield~~~!!!"

BTW, both his and Rosberg helmet are yellow..... maybe one of them will (have to) change...? :stirthepot:

wilsonp 10-20-2012 11:22 PM

It was Hamiltons choice to go to Mercedes.

alcheng 10-25-2012 11:43 PM

Webber... his mouth is too big.....

Webber won't let Vettel wins

Quote:

Asked by reporters whether he would be allowed to win if Vettel were right behind him at the finish, Webber did not hesitate.

"I will win. That's it," he said, deadpan.

Questioned again as to whether that meant 'win and face the consequences' or 'win with the team's backing', Webber continued:

"This weekend if I have a chance to win the grand prix I will go for it. Mathematically I have a chance (of the title), so if I'm in the lead this weekend, I'm not pulling over for anyone."

Zoren 370 10-28-2012 07:59 AM

Has anyone notice the "Z" emblem on the left side corner (looking at the top view) of Vettel's Renault Red Bull car?

m4a1mustang 10-28-2012 08:33 AM

Do you have a picture of it?

The only thing I can think of that would resemble a Z on the car is the Neutral selector (for the marshals) which has an "N" surrounded by a circle. That could be confused for a Z if you look at it from a certain angle.

alcheng 10-28-2012 10:46 PM

I didn't see the Z emblem, but I saw Raikkonen kept himself within 1s from Massa, but he still not able to get close to the Ferrari even the DRS was wide open on the straight....

Poor him, got skills but the car is :ugh2:

Great race today. Kimi is good, but he is soooo bizarre. Vettel was definitely out for blood.
Next race. Texas!!!!

He basically have 'no feeling' unless it's party.

2nd place or lower he is not happy, 1st place like today he shows no emotion, only if he wins the champ.

Otherwise he does not give a sh!t about all other stuffs.

alcheng 11-05-2012 12:05 PM

True, and I think he's the only one who has the guts to say it...

He signed another year contract with Lotus, but will have to see how does the car perform next year, if not winning, then he'll probably switch to another team...

To be honest, I don't know why Red Bull is keeping Webber, he is a pain in the a$$ 2nd driver.

I hope Red Bull will wake up in 2013 and sign someone else for 2014 next next year...

G37Sam 11-06-2012 01:52 PM

I think Webber is great in RBR, he is a second driver and managed to bag RBR a lot of points in spite of all the issues he had on his car earlier on with KERS.

alcheng 11-06-2012 02:00 PM

Webber is a good driver, there's no doubt about it, but it other way, he is not a good 2nd driver.

If he is the 1st driver of the team, for sure he can be as corky as the way he is now, but as a 2nd driver, he should know what "team-work" means...

That's a problem when you have 2 drivers on a team that are both capable of winning a championship. Vettel is a little younger and sharper than Mark but Mark has shown that he has plenty of talent as well. In some ways it is easier for teams to have a 2nd driver that is a little further back, and knows his place e.g. Alonso and Massa. Although even Massa has moments of brilliance.

Imagine if Vettel joined Ferrari with Alonso for 2014, then you would really butt heads.

You are correct too, but look at McLaren, with Button and Hamilton in same team for three years, nothing coming from any of the two...

Webber, do you think he is capable of winning the championship?? He is driving a winning car but...

He reminds me of Eddie Irvine when he was in Ferrari with Schumacher, in a winning car but nothing much..

Do you really think Vettel will go to Ferrari in 2014? Ferrari is famous on favoring one driver, don't know how will they handle it or if either Vettel or Alonso will like it... :icon17:

Hamilton and Button spend to much time complaining and not enough time making it work. The polar opposite would be Kimi who says absolutely nothing when in the car, just drives it until the wheels fall off.

I thought Webber had a good chance at winning the championship back in 2010, he led for quite a while but then had a bad few races. As it ended up he finished 3rd and there was only a 16 point spread from 1st to 4th, a very tight season! Young drivers always have the advantage though, no matter how good or experienced the driver. You need lightning fast reflexes and feel which you start to lose by the time you are 35 or so. Just look at old Shumi.

Vettel to Ferrari, who knows. He's the hot ticket in F1 these days, everybody wants him. Ferrari says they're getting him when Massa leaves, RedBull says he's staying no doubt :) The Rumors were that Alonso said no to Hamilton joining Ferrari, but was ok with Vettel. Who knows if the rumors are true or not.

If you look at Hamilton and Button, they are both world champs and they compete in the same team and they get along with each other very well, no bad words or complain the team about bias or whatever, no matter how good they are individually, they also have to work as a team.

Regardless who has a better result on a particular race, they praise each other and work on their own business, therefore there's no bad words from them for the last 3 years.

Alonso, he was with McLaren before moving to Ferrari, and he wasn't doing well with McLaren AND Hamilton, because he demands all the attention, that's why he fits into Ferrari perfectly, he's like Schumacher, has to be the #1 driver and have all the priority. And that's why Massa and Alonso is a good pair.

Vettel and Webber, I remember back in 2010 Webber was neck to neck with Vettel, but Webber is also the one who complains the team here and there, whining all the time about the team bias to Vettel and blah blah blah...

Look, if I am a team principal, I wouldn't want this kind of trouble, two fast drivers are ideal, but no trouble maker. :icon17:

I WISH I had an opportunity for photos like those!! I will instead be avoiding south Austin and downtown all weekend due the clusterfvck of F1 and Austin FanFest going on at the same time.

My buddy got Pit Lane access for volunteering his help in the grandstands. He will be ushering people in/out but gets to wander around all weekend. Maybe next year.

alcheng 11-13-2012 12:34 PM

Another weekend hoping Raikonnen will win.

FA had no grip. It wasnt the car today. Massa beat him and good. Massa has this place down. Not like Red Bull or Mclaren but respectably vs FA.
