wishihadnav 04-28-2010 12:22 PM

Knicks??..they have about as much chance as winning a title as the nets do...which is never..haha..unless they get Lebron..

antman22 04-28-2010 12:29 PM

Its all about the OKC Thunder!!!! Being from Dallas, I really wanna root for the Mavs, but I don't even feel safe when they have a 25pt lead in a game....

Boston vs Cleveland

I think we are going to see the Championship series this coming week when Boston and Cleveland battle. Miami was playing great in the second half of the year and a focused healthier Boston team made them look like the Clippers. I won't say Boston will beat Cleveland but I think it is going to be a battle.

phelan 04-28-2010 12:49 PM

no i'm not a lakerfag lol, i'm all for the trail blazers

im going out on a limb and picking Boston in 7...call it a hunch...then Lebron will be pissed and go to the Knicks next season...hahah

Red370 04-28-2010 01:44 PM

Everyone knows its the cavs year this year. I was at the game last night, shyt was intense! I'll post pictures once I get on my home computer, even got some shots of kristin cavalleri if any of you know who she is, yum..

wishihadnav 04-28-2010 02:41 PM

yeah the Cavs are definatly favored this year but lets see if they can get through Boston...then Orlando...haha..at the very least they will be banged up to hell once they reach the Finals..Looks like we'll have Utah next after they dispose of Denver...Lakers should make the Finals with Denver outa the way.

blue660r01 04-28-2010 03:03 PM

I say Cavs or Orlando rep the East. Boston is ghey and sucks

********, king crab is (a) douchebag / overrated / gets superstar calls / david stern's bitch, and got lucky taj gibson can't hit a free throw to save his life, and kirk hinrich bonked one as well. oh, and doesn't help VDN's timeout plays result in derrick rose dribbling...dribbling...OMFG CLOCK DOWN SHOOT NOW!!!!!

cavs will win because david stern will tell the refs to call a foul everytime ron artest gets within 10 feet of him (assuming lakers make it out of the WCF). king crab is the only reason cleveland gives a sh*t about basketball. well...that, and the cleveland browns suck ***.

another thing, i hate the celtics so much. garnett went from mr. intensity to mr. "IM A USED DOUCHEBAG LOL", and paul "i'm the muthafukin truth" is all sorts of fail. ray allen is the only guy left on that entire time that i like.

tangent, so who watched the lakers absolutely bury the thunder last night? all of you who were on the thunder bandwagon got shook off pretty bad huh? but do NOT count out the jazz. they're expecting AK-47 back next round too, and deron williams is playing out of his mind. carlos boozer is playing out of his...oh, right, it's a contract year for him LOL

finally, blazers play tomorrow...:excited:

blue660r01 04-28-2010 03:16 PM

Its ok phelan when the Knicks get LBJ next year you will like the Knicks and root for them :D

vipor 04-28-2010 03:18 PM

Lyndon B Johnson?

wishihadnav 04-28-2010 03:45 PM

yup those three missed freethrows hurt and also the missed shooting foul when Shaq got Rose...Vinny's probably already fired...i gut a gut feeling boston's going to take out clevlnd...then lose to the Magic...finally the Lakers' will repeat as champs!!..hahah.

phelan 04-28-2010 05:14 PM

boston won't take out cleveland unless lebron's elbow is like...catastrophically shattered, and jamison loses his nuts. and if mo williams gets blinded by ilgauskas, shaq starts eating burritos and gains 30 pounds overnight...and if jj hickson joins him in the burrito-fest. and if delonte brings his bass case of guns into the locker room.

boston won't take out cleveland. they're too old, kg can't even move laterally anymore lol. and...well, f*ck it, THEY HAVE RASHEED WALLACE. dude hasn't given a **** since detroit won. he's like the cAnswer...just bigger.

i could totally see garnett tossing his elbow into lebron's face and getting a flagrant-SUPERNOVA from david stern for mauling his NBA posterchild. and then king crab -er, james- crying like a little baby before getting up and tossing in a triple double all the while being a douchebag to the ballboys / fans / other team.

(ever notice how much i hate lebron james?)

but david stern will NOT let the crabs-er, cavs- lose to anybody but the lakers.

Red370 04-28-2010 06:21 PM

^^^ such hate! King James is the truth and you know it buddy! He had an off night last night, just like Kobe has been having the last 15 games:tup:

The Cavs can sting you in any number of ways, Jamison went nuts last night, Delante West was cold as ice from behind the arc and Moon provided the much needed jump start with that alley oop when the game started to get stale.

The Cavs owned Boston throughout the regular season and it'll be no different during the playoffs. And mark my words, Cleveland is preparing to offer the king one of the most lucrative contracts in NBA history according to local news reports, he isnt going anywhere:tup:

Lebron is the Cavaliers, if he goes, the team goes, along with every fan in the city, they cant afford to see him leave, I also dont think he'd go to a team that doesnt have a prayer of winning a championship any time soon, so the knicks are ABSOLUTELY out. He wants a ring, and it wont happen there ANY time soon.

phelan 04-28-2010 06:25 PM

I don't care about Kobe lol. Brandon Roy could be straight killing the suns if he was anywhere near healthy.

Red370 04-28-2010 06:27 PM

Durant needs a better supporting cast, hes the only guy I see in the league currently that might be able to compete against KJ in the future.

phelan 04-28-2010 06:40 PM

i don't know what you're talking about, the oklahoma city thunder, provided that they don't blow up / lose their players to free agency, are built to last. durant cannot get much better than westbrook at the point guard, and green at the small forward. serge ibaka plays with energy, and is as great a defensive force as anybody right now (7 blocks against the Fakers). harden and maynor off the bench are great glue guys that give you scoring and energy.

to me, top five nba point guards: deron williams, chris paul, russell westbrook, steve nash, stephen curry. jason kidd is getting up there in age and falls out of the top five...but not by much (dude's lights out from 3)

mind you this team is the youngest in the NBA! let's see the cavs hold it together for more than 2 more years. that team is like the celtics - win now, or retire, it's done

wishihadnav 04-28-2010 06:42 PM

mark my words...Boston in 7 over Cleveland...haha!!

phelan 05-02-2010 04:47 AM

king james = drama queen. "oh no my elbow it hurttts"

********, i'm not buying any of it. hope both the cavs and celtics beat each other up, i'd rather see orlando make it through than either of them.

whats funnier is Kobe got ZERO 1st place votes:roflpuke2:

zman1910 05-03-2010 03:13 PM

Look at it this way. Cavs nearly took out the Celtics 2 years ago when it was basically KJ playing a one man army. It came down to the final minute...that's just how dominant he is. I mean just about everyone on his team seriously sucked not to mention the team he carried to the finals the previous year.

Anyone that doesn't see/agree with that is simply a hater(Phelan - self-proclaimed of course) bc the truth hurts...especially to LA fans bc Kobe was the poster child all these years and Lebron is clearly better/more dominant now.

If you look at Lebron's squad now... it's a little terrifying bc of how good they are and I'm not just talking about their starters....their bench included. Lebron went from having no one to having everyone. Gone are the matchup problems of last year...Cavs can go ultra small or ultra big....kinda crazy huh?

LA has an easy road to the finals now that the Thunder are gone. Everyone else they know how to play and no one is big enough to compete with them(since Denver is out). The Thunder were the wildcard group and a great one at that.

As long as Bynum is healthy....there is only one team that can matchup and compete with LA and that is the Cavs. You saw it in the regular season. Most of LA's points are Gasol and Bynum in the paint. Counter that with Ilgauskas and Shaq who are both bigger respectively and all of a sudden their points go away and now the back court is forced to score. Lebron neutralizes Kobe and vice versa........so it come down to the better bench/role players. Advantage - Cavs

Actual advantage - David Stern for setting it up so that we can finally have the long awaited Kobe vs Lebron. And yes I agree that Lebron will make it to the finals this year, not just bc he is soo dominant but bc he'll also have some help from the refs.....just like Kobe did/does. In the end it's a business where millions and millions of dollars are at stake everyday so the game is obviously catered to the public to some degree.....kinda sad but definitely true.

wishihadnav 05-03-2010 03:25 PM

^yup i agree...Lakers will make the Finals and the Cavs will to..Cavs have a much harder road tho cuz they will have to meet Orlando if they get through Boston...these two series will be a war with MUCH higher likelyhood of injuries for the Cavs..if they're healthy after all this they will be favored in the Finals.
