For the Football fans (No, not the American one)

I figured it was time that a thread was started for all of us footy fans in the US and overseas to have something to rant and rave on about the game we love! Post your favorite teams, match analysis, transfer rumors, gripes and complaints about performances, results, anything football (soccer for us yank types) related. I hope some of our UK friends can get on here and post some things going on in the news over there, we dont seem to get alot of info here in the states! And please, keep posts on topic!

Let me start with a rant: Landon Donovan, wtf Galaxy, let the kid stay on at Everton. Though his time there has been short, hes obviously had a very big impact in the side, managing a draw with my Gunners, and 2 wins at Chelsea and ManUre (sorry devil fans), MLS is a notch above collegiate level and thats all, our international players cannot improve playing with a lack of competition, I'm looking to the world cup, I want our players to have the best competition week in and week out so that when they come up against the worlds best, they show some intensity and some grit and fight til the very end. BTW, I hear Chelsea is lining up a $10 million move to buy Donovan out of his contract as a replacement for Joe Cole who Man U are looking to sign.

Now thats out of the way, another: MLS, how are we ever going to have the world take us seriously when we play with conferences and have a playoff system? Convert the league to one table, and drop the salary cap and sign players with class. Only then might our level improve.

Onto my Gooners, Fabregas injured again, F#@K MAN!! Can we keep anybody healthy? Ramsey, poor kid man, to have such a nasty break like that, hopefully he heals up and comes back in better form than Edu has, guys been a complete disappointment this year. Bendtner? really? how many chances do you need to find the net? i counted 6 against Burnley, simply disgusting. Hes our only real target man, but shyt, get some shots on target yeah? And to RVP, please please come back to us and stay healthy for more than 1 season! I have no doubt we'd be top of the table had we had him to slam them left footers in for us.

Robin van Persie, come back, we need you...!!!!! Although Bendtner, to his credit, has been in very good form as of late. if he can recover, arshavin and walcott and play in bendtner in a variety of ways. Swap out the Dane for van Persie and it gets even better!

lol i kinda skirted around red's choice of words for van Persie...

but no doubt about it, arsenal REALLY needs him right now. he may not be the best in the world, but he's DAMN good for us.
