Anyone watch Suzuka today? How many of them lost their rear tires? Maybe those pit guys are getting lazy haha.

G37Sam 10-10-2010 07:44 PM

Haha good point, i think they should start using a torque wrench :bowrofl:

sig11 10-10-2010 08:25 PM

That was pretty odd. They some of the BBC commentators said something about a component overheating possibly being the cause of Kubica's car. I have no idea what that could be though...

antman22 10-10-2010 09:44 PM

Overall a fun race to watch tho...I have f1 2010 for ps3 and I race the tracks that are upcoming. I just about died laughing when I saw that hamilton wrecked in practice on the right hander that I wrecked on a few times when racing suzuka...glad to know I'm not the only one to muck up at that spot.

m4a1mustang 10-10-2010 09:46 PM

So, is Korea still a go?

I just bought that today!! I couldn't believe Hamilton was able to hold 5th position missing a gear. Good driving on his part! I predict Webber taking the championship!!

m4a1mustang 10-11-2010 07:33 AM

All Webber has to do is keep his nose clean and the championship is his.

Pretty cool I must say.

Exactly!! Just let the car do what it does!! Get to the podium!!

I remember his first race with Minardi and all his struggles before joining Red Bull. He showed promise but never had the right car or team behind him. I think there were a few times where it looked like he might not even last in F1.

It's also very nice to see him leading his punk teammate this year. I hope he can keep it clean and bring the title home... good for him!

G37Sam 10-11-2010 07:46 AM

He definitely deserves it!

Let's hope the asphalt doesn't come up! :icon18:

Jquad 10-16-2010 09:56 PM

When did Shumacher came back?? Ive lost track of F1!! What team does he drive for now?

WShade 10-16-2010 10:46 PM

This year for Mercedes GP.

G37Sam 10-17-2010 06:02 AM

And I believe next year also, thing are going to be "different" according to him

antman22 10-19-2010 12:17 AM

I think the expectations out of Schu this year was extremely high. So many fans and critics thought he'd be racking up the wins right away...the man has been gone from the sport for a few years, and yet with a "so-so" car, he's been able to post some top 10 finishes and race pretty competitively. With the limited amount of practice time and with cars totally different from the ones he used to drive, I think he's done quite well.Hopefully next season they can put him in a better car and maybe we can see him a little more competitive.

I was just thinking the same thing watching him at Suzuka. I also think that his car has been limited this year due to the advanced aero that some of the other teams are running.

Regardless, it's been one of my favorite seasons so far being able to see him competing with the younger guys.

:iagree:

We all know how good he is at developing a car, so assuming he's still around next season I'm interested to see how Mercedes GP ranks...

sig11 10-19-2010 09:00 AM

You know... with the way this season started out I sure didn't expect it to be as entertaining of a season as it has been. I still think they need to bring softer tires than they are though. :)

Demon Z 10-19-2010 09:01 AM

I do believe Brawn has already said he'll be back next year. Schuey may be a polarizing driver, but 7 championships is no fluke.

I agree 100% They need to be sliding around and fighting the tires. If you push too hard and pull away you will wear them out quicker and get run down. It would make the racing so much better.

antman22 10-19-2010 10:45 AM

i agree about the tires....we're seeing the drivers run a full race with only one change (mostly due to regulation)...they're running 50+ laps on a single set of tires...no fun haha.

m4a1mustang 10-19-2010 10:55 AM

Yep. Tires are the answer to good racing. If you run a tire that degrades after 15 laps or so the drivers really have to fight to manage them and you'll see some pretty awesome racing. We saw it in Montreal where the tires weren't lasting much beyond that many laps. It was awesome.

G37Sam 10-19-2010 04:56 PM

Which race was it that Vettel went into the pit for his first tire change one lap before the end of the race.. That made me lol

m4a1mustang 10-19-2010 06:38 PM

Monza I believe. Finished P4

That video wasn't nearly as exciting as I expected. :(

G37Sam 10-24-2010 12:37 PM

Talk about a Red Bull curse

antman22 10-24-2010 01:01 PM

That race was a hot mess. Not exactly the inaugural race Korea was hoping for lol.

Who designed that pit entrance? Talk about a suicide missing when you plan to pit....

The pit entrance needs to be changed, it's insane!

import111 10-24-2010 03:14 PM

I thought it was an exciting race. Rain always adds some craziness. I don't think Red Bull wants to win, lol.

Waiz 10-24-2010 06:00 PM

Wow, that was a really poorly designed track, the pit entrance, blind corners, and the poor irrigation really made the race dangerous. I think they should have just postponed the race or cancelled it all together.

At least Schumi had a good outing but I prefer to see a more competitive race with everyone still in the running at the end. The crashes were pretty spectacular though.

kevr6 10-24-2010 10:56 PM

Instead of predicting who's going to win I think we need to predict who's going to have bad luck!

sig11 10-25-2010 11:14 PM

I'm still rooting for Webber. Hamilton rocks though. I really enjoyed listening to his radio. "Come on guys, it isn't that bad let's race!" :)

G37Sam 10-26-2010 07:04 AM

Hamilton definitely rocked the house!

"Guys it's so dry we can race with intermediates on, LETS RACE!" haha

sig11 10-26-2010 07:44 PM
