Podium for george!

LMAO! Well F1 is now a time attack event! I don't know how much I would be celebrating over a trophy that no one had a chance to complete for. Hell yeah feel good about where you qualified but that is it! For Max a win is a win count it and set the the trophy on the shelf and for Lewis, one could say it is a penalty adjustment so let's move on to some real racing!

Some credit for Russell to put in the hard lap, but I think everyone's happy to not have to race after what happened to Lando.

No one wanted to race F1 made the right call per the rules and the results are what they are. As far qualifying given the conditions Russell did a lot right. Lando was faster but the weather had something to say about that. Rain favors those drives from Great Britain, Germany and those countries near them. I would have expected all the drivers in the top ten for the most part to have placed as the did, especially the top five.

The best thing that came out of this weekend was Alonzo's helmet cam video!!!

Even Toto said that was a ballsy move from Russell / Williams to come back in and change to slicks then do an out lap and a prep lap, leaving it all-or-nothing for the final hot lap.

Of course, Williams had a lot less to lose in that strategy than would a Mercedes or Red Bull.

It's an alright result in that it does very little to alter the constructors race, outside of the Willams bump.

FIA Formula 1 race director Michael Masi has admitted that letting Q3 go ahead at the Belgian Grand Prix was the wrong decision, after Lando Norris crashed in atrocious conditions.

Reports that Kimi has announced his retirement at the end of this season.

Yes, it was time. But still sad to see him go.

Not sad. Over rated - paid and fired by Ferrari and was on-track to be beaten 2 out of 3 years by Massa. Kimi. A career with 1 title and under performing after overall. Should have been out of F1 after driving in circles for absurd amounts of money at Ferrari the 2nd time. He never pushed Vettel at all. Vettel got lazy with Kimi around.

Alonso destroyed the myth of the Iceman when Kimi showed up the second time at Ferrari. Embarrassing to say the least. The numbers are ugly for that year.

I think that recent pit entry fudge up was the real "you're done" to Kimi.

True, but he had value and people paid him... Its just having certain people believe in you.... Still amazing that he has been in the sport this long...
