Was another entertaining race (for me), with plenty of drama and action.

I was rooting for LeClerc, but that was as bad as it gets out there.

Glad to see Lando Norris putting in work in back-to-back race weekends.

Stroll and Perez looking good in the revamped RP cars.

Truly digging this new-to-me sport and wish there was more US coverage. Bring on Hungary!

https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/15...ble-for-vettel More on the story of Vettel moving to Racing Point next year.....

Perhaps most intriguing about the entire scenario though is which of the two drivers in Racing Point's current employ would be moved aside.

The most obvious candidate is Sergio Perez, who is understood to have a break clause in his contract that would allow Racing Point to slot in Vettel instead.

That may seem pretty harsh considering how loyal Perez has been the team, and the role he played in helping keep it alive back in 2018 when Force India was close to collapse, but F1 can be a ruthless game at times.

Let's not forget also the pretty hefty sponsorship backing that Perez brings with him: something that will not be so easy to replace.

But equally Racing Point's management must be aware that a line-up of Vettel and Perez is a stronger combination than Vettel and Stroll, and one that could be the difference between fighting for top three in the constructors' and ending up in the top five.

Could the unthinkable happen and the team actually stand Stroll down into a different role? It's hard to believe that it would, but in F1, not much is impossible.

The ball is now very much in Vettel's court, with a decision effectively needed before F1 reconvenes at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix

You cannot forget that the money in Tracing Point (soon to be Aston Martin) is largely from Lawrence Stroll. Sorry about poor Sergio, who is a great driver, but in the end it is money that talks.

If Vettel wants to be in F1 next year, this is his only remaining option. Looks like the car may well be more competitive than Ferrari, too!!!

F1 is apparently in talks to add Portimao to the 2020 calendar.
The Portuguese Grand Prix, together with Mugello, make 10 races.
Doubtful that there will be an American tour this year, with the US, Mexico and Brazil likely to be the three highest affected countries by then. Except for Russia, that is, and yet they still think they will hold a Grand Prix (with spectators, too!).

Very much. Rumour from Italy is that the Ferrari (works and customers) engine is back to 2017 spec, whereas everyone else is running with 3 years more development in their PU's. And with engines now frozen through 2021, the next 18 months are not going to be happy ones in Marenello!

after watching qualifying today, makes me wonder if HAAS might be the plug....
not sure if he wants to stick around and be the tail end of the field.
Thou part of it could be the Ferrari engines....

I'm a Red Bull fan but hope to see the pink mercs stick it to the og mercy, RBs, and the Ferraris. Its about time we see other teams get on the podium. The problem is they're not good as the race progress.

Can anyone beat the Mercedes and Hamilton?

F1 is just a one sided car/driver race league.

Its becoming boring to me.

Hamilton no matter how I dislike him.. He is the Best Driver in our era at this time period. I think he would beat Michael’s 7th time World Champion.
