Well, sadly it looks like I'm going to be getting rid of my Z soon. After 5 years in a Z, I'm ready to stick with something more practical while I save up for the next toy.
Honestly, I'm a little sad about it but I've kind of realized in the last couple of months that my goals for the Z are more extravagant than my budget. I'd rather be saving money right now than modding a car and I don't think I can have it without modding it. :( With all that said, I wanted to give you guys dibs on any of the parts you might want before I put them up on sale officially. Everything is still on the car at this point but it'll all be coming off next week. Here's what I've got: Fast Intentions CBE (gen 1) $800 picked up Some minor scratches on the cans but nothing you can see unless you get under the car. Work Emotion CR Ultimate 19x9.5 +15/19x10.5 +12 $2000 obo These are in flawless condition and only have a few hundred miles on them. They come with the center caps too. Swift Springs $250 picked up Less than 1000 miles on these SPL rear camber kit - no toe bolts $100 picked up Zenclosure for 1 10" sub and Boston Acoustics sub $130 picked up Small blemish from shipping in one of the corners Maybe more stuff later once I get it out of the car. Let me know if you're interested. |
:shakes head: sorry to see you go my friend....
|
I was kind of a short timer. :(
I doubt this is going to be my last Z. :) |
Sorry to hear this, if the FI was gen 2 i'd be all over it.
|
I'll still be around the forums a little.
Totally understand on the FI. For what it's worth, I only scrape when I'm going too fast over a hump in the road. I'm sure it makes some pretty sparks behind me when I do. |
Very tempted to grab those springs even though i havent signed the papers for the car yet lol. i want something a little more aggressive, but that wouldnt be a bad start to get atuned to in a new car.

The springs are good for a little over an inch drop. It's not super low. It's really just enough to close some of the fender gap. Here's a pic of the wheels and springs installed so you can see how it looks. http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...pse950a22f.jpg |
Swift springs lower the car 1" up front and 1.2" out back, or somewhere right in there.

Anyone know a good body shop that can fill in the spot where the front Nissan emblem goes when removed?
|
:bump:
|
I dont know a shop that would be able to do that, but there are a few way you can do a self fix on that im sure. i could prolly help you out. when you take the emblem off, is the space left open a few holes where the emblem was attached or is it one big gapping hole?
|
I think it's just recessed into the bumper, no holes the rear has the holes I believe. I've heard good things about rapid patch, speed grip, and polyurethane fillers, I don't know what would be best. The idea is to fill that in and wrap the car in vinyl. Not sure if it's the best idea but that's what I'm thinking. Hahaha

Polyurethane would prolly work pretty well. depending on what kind it is effects how the vinyl would adhere to it. though, you could always ignore that spot. just some ideas.
|
Would you know what could work for this? Filling in the space and playing nice with the vinyl. I'm thinking 3m vinyl, not sure if it makes a difference or not.

Figure I'll post this here. Pics are on my profile since I can't upload off of here. Ill negotiate so hit me up with a fair offer.
For Sale Set of 20x10 and 20x12 Strasse forged SM8’s with polished lips and carbon fiber finished faces 5x 114.3 but I can’t remember the offsets. They are aggressive though. I was running camber arms in the front but nothing in the rear. They are mounted on: Hankook Ventus V12’s 255/30 r20 305/25 r20 The tires aren’t bad for the rear but the fronts are showing some belt from the camber. The wheels are in great shape and just need to be polished. They have a few small marks in the lips from collecting rocks but nothing major. The inner barrels are powder coated black I’m also including a set of Volk racing formula lug nuts with black nuts (in the pics) These were quite expensive wheels, so I’m asking 3500. This is half the cost of the wheels and giving the tires and lugs for free. |
Seen these in person, super hot. Are you parting out or just getting new shoes ?
|
I traded her in. These are all that's left.
|
Anyone that's interested email me at bmetz9@cox.net
|
Sad to hear you're letting the Z go, but on to new things. What are you looking at the new Vette?
