I'd love to get into the Frontier gear swap... but don't you have to machine something to make it fit?

I don't think the 6MT has any problems, but the 7AT needs some extra stuff to make it work.

Cool... well that is something I'm going to look into.

But... in the meantime, time for me to look for a new exhaust setup. I was thinking about doing a single, but it seems like the costs of making it are going to be just as much as a setup that I can buy.

Not to mention, the single was going to be something that I could swap out when I didn't want something quiet.

sigh...

TypeOne 08-01-2011 10:51 AM

Another Stillen front lip on the way.. this is #3.

More parts to order today! Gotta get to work!

i ordered the cnt cat back (i know i know prolly gonna get flamed) but for the money and everything i've read review wise everyone seems happy. i already have their hi-flow cats and fit-n-finish were top notch and i love them so far. i usually dont keep a car long enough to get my moneys worth and couldnt see spending 4x the money on a similar exhaust.........

TypeOne 08-01-2011 12:39 PM

It's all goood.... I'm about to order the Top Speed resonated one.

I think combined with it and the motordyne ART pipes, it will sound good.

I also finally got SPLASH GUARDS! hahaha

Punk86 08-01-2011 02:41 PM

You all really make it hard for me to save my money...

you know, the cnt actually is a steal for $550.

I am very interested to see it in person!

TypeOne 08-01-2011 04:25 PM

I just got the TS Pro1 CBE and for less than $900 it was a good deal as well... I haven't seen much on the CNT though.

JordoKAP 08-01-2011 04:28 PM

I really want the AAM Competition 2.5 cutback. But i think its going to be way to loud with my gtm test pipes.

Meeee toooooooooooo!

After seeing the ones at IA, I've been wanting one.

TypeOne 08-03-2011 12:51 PM

Too bad for an 02+ they are like $48,000-$70,000.

Just crazy amounts of money for a car that is slower than my Z.

:-/

TypeOne 08-03-2011 12:52 PM

On my list of dream cars...

This is in the top 5:

http://honda-type-r.com/photo/honda-nsx-r-1.jpg

But would take the Spoon version:

You can buy these things new still from Spoon. They take a US spec NSX, export it to Japan, rebuild it from the ground up, re-badge it and plate it back to 0 miles with everything brand new.

They are only like $175,000.

ok guys just finished the cnt exhaust install. everything went pretty well for doing it on the ground and everything came complete and in perfect condition.
the exhaust is a true dual exhaust but noticed i have a small leak near the center of the car.....also a little rubbing on the center brace. going to bring it to a buddies shop tom. and get it on a lift and see what we can do about the little leak and rattle.

overall im super happy with the exhaust sounds amazing looks sick and was much cheaper than the competion:ughdance:

I've heard of a lot of exhausts hitting the under brace. I fear my TS is going to do the same thing. Idk... I will see in a few hours when I put it on.

Punk86 08-05-2011 08:47 AM

Should have got the Invidia Gemini! I love my system.

TypeOne 08-05-2011 09:55 AM

^^^That thing is quiet like stock Jimmy! I gotta have sound!

I actually love the way mine sounds now... it's really deep compared to my muffler delete pipes. The power is great too, it pulls really hard down low and through the mid range.

My ONLY complaint, is that it hits the lower brace under and rattles a little bit. I'm going to try and loosen up the pipes and re-tighten them tomorrow when my new lip and other part comes in.
