Default Looking for a Technical Support Specialist for Automotive Lubricants and Oil

Hi Socal folk! I thought I'd reach out to some forum members about a job opportunity I'm recruiting for.

I'm looking for a bright recent grad in Chemistry, Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related with 0-1 years industry experience with oils and lubricants.

The position requires basic wet chemistry lab work; however, the majority of duties will involve analyzing test data (ie. performing studies, comparing rival products, and analyzing samples) to develop technical sales tools and datasheets. Other responsibilities include technical support for racers, drifters, mechanics, and other clients. Also, the position will require attending trade shows/promotional events, and internet promotions through the forums.

Technical Support Specialist

Innovative Leader in automotive Lubricants and Oils is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join their winning team.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyze and test raw materials, in-process, and final products to specification
• Perform testing including but not limited to: Viscosity, Sheer, and wet chemistry.
• Collect samples and coordinate with contract labs for testing
• Analyze and interpret data and results from testing
• Maintain instruments, equipment, and general housekeeping.
• Provide technical support for clients
• Support Sales and Marketing by developing technical sales tools and datasheets.
• Assist in Marketing and Sales through internet marketing.
• Attend trade shows and promotional events.

Requirements
• BS in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or related.
• Experience in oils and lubricants, 1-2 years experience preferred.
• Strong interest in the automotive industry
• Understanding of combustion engines a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong Computer Skills: Excel, Powerpoint
