Associated Tire Brake
6353 Ventura Blvd.
Ventura,Ca. 93003 (805)656-2049--you have to make an appointment
Tires,brakes,&alignment

I had a tire rotation,balance&alignment done--on a flat road, I can go over 300ft.,no hands.

--------------------------------------------

Williams Automotive
6027 Ventura Blvd.
Ventura,Ca. 93003 (805)656-1026--you have to make an appointment
Tune-up

They service cars from the 1950's that have been restored, too Corvette's&Porsche's. A lot of the work is done outside of the work bays, if so, you can stand ,watch and talk to the mechanic while he does your car.

I fully trust both of these places, and wouldn't recommend them if I didn't. Very honest ,reliable places to get your car worked on.

tru_Asiatik 05-03-2009 08:20 PM

^^good start

Also need recommendations on reputable vendors/installers in metro LA area. My separation from the military is approaching and I'll be coming back to L.A which means there are lots of mods I'm itching to get done on my Z. :D

Phimosis 05-25-2009 03:06 AM

I had Technosquare in Torrance do my install of headers, cats, exhaust, intake and do the dynotune. Outstanding quality install in one day at a reasonable price.

GreenJalapeno 05-31-2009 11:36 AM

^ what do you need done?

molamann 05-31-2009 12:52 PM

Just run of the mill intake/exhaust installation

sensi09 05-31-2009 02:37 PM

PrecisionZ in Canoga Park Home Page and Corner3 Garage in Lake Forest gets lots of recommendations.

For dealers, I like Performance Nissan in Duarte and West Covina Nissan.

Westend Alignment in Gardena does great work, but need an appt roughly two weeks in advance.

Of course everything is far from me, so I was thinking about checking out SP engineering in the City of Industry SP Power index if I don't go to the dealer.

Anybody have a recommendation for a dynomat place? Although I'm not too bothered by the ambient noise, I always call my fiancee daily on the way home from work, since I work a swing shift and she's a doc who has to get up early. The call quality on the bluetooth in the car with the iPhone is...let's say...not the best. So I'm looking for a way to quiet the cabin a bit.

I'm also curious if anyone has an opinion on what to dynomat (rear cargo area, wheel wells, firewall, doors, etc...). I know that on my 350, the dynomat had a moderate effect, but not as much as I had hoped for. After perusing this forum, I know there were a few threads focused on the wheel wells, as well as a few people saying that the rear cargo area is a good starting point...

molamann 07-06-2009 06:27 PM

Requesting more shops in the socal area.

Just got my TINT dont today.. Good Prices and took there time working on my Z ... Look for Peter at California Tint Alarms Auto 4325 Rosemead Blvd, Rosemead, California - (626) 287-2321 .. He gave me and my friend a deal because we did my friends Lexus RX400H and my Z. I did Best Quality Tint : GRADES : 7 on the back, 23 sides, and 70 on the Windshield. . I haven't got my pictures out of my phone on to the computer so I will post before and after pictures up soon.. Hope this helps you guys here in the LA Cali area if your looking to tint the ride ...

FlyFlipZ 07-07-2009 01:56 PM

No I don't mind. They did my whole car for $170 which was pretty good considering I went to a few other spots where they were charging me an ARM and a LEG for the same quality tint .. Other places quoted me $195 just for the sides and rear and an extra $150 for the windshield. Don't get hustled !!! This place gave me exactly what I wanted and wasn't pushy and didn't try to upsell me on other products... Also, they all have their cars parked in the lot to use as examples to show customers and they let you watch and wait for other cars to get done if you want to see how the other cars turn out. Hope this helps ... Good luck !!!

Any of these close to San Diego? Haha. I've only seen Pann auto performance but I don't think they specialize in Zs. Any help and recommendations are highly appreciated.

Horrible shop. The hose for my replacement reservoir (Injen Intakes) was installed unprofessionally. The hose is kinked and twisted. On top of that.. they complained how hard it was to remove the front bumper. I found out after a few days of installation that there are bolts holding the bumper to the guard are missing. There were at least 3-4 of them missing. Quality of work is bad. I do NOT recommend this shop. The shop is 5 mins away.. next time around I wouldn't mind driving 2 hours to get work done at Amplified Motorsport.

03Z33 03-01-2010 02:33 AM

You should talk to Freddie there and give them a chance to make it right. At the least they can replace your missing parts and correct the kinked hose even if you don't choose to return for other work.

CervanteZ 03-12-2010 01:01 PM

Bought the base model. I wanted to put the factory wing on it, and everywhere I went, it would come up to at least $500 (no install).
Went to a local nissan dealer and they said they have a guy that does all that, total came up to 399 installed. Took him <hour to have it drilled and ready to go.
Anyone interested, PM me for number. I don't know what the rules are for being a vendor here. Got pics if you want them as well.

KingZee 03-17-2010 04:39 AM

I second California Tint, they did a great job on my Z and charged me $110 for sides and rear. Great guys and work was done fairly quickly.
