They are really far lol I know I said over an hour, but theyre close to 2 hours away from me. So far I'm planning on calling socal motorworks, corner3garage, and Street faction tomorrow morning and asking around to see if they can do the work. If they cant ill probably call up specialty z. Just asking to hopefully speed up my process.

Zbrah 10-18-2015 07:26 PM

Ah okay. I didnt realize specialty z is that far out! I would try socal motorworks or corner3 garage. Sfe do not do transmission work as far as i know, they're not ur usual mechanic shop.

lhinojos 10-18-2015 07:42 PM

gotcha. Thanks

Zbrah 10-19-2015 12:45 AM

Are you on the facebook group? You may want to reach out to the Coachela Valley Z Club for shop recommendation. I'm sure someone there can point you to a good shop closer to your area. The job takes at least 6 hours to complete so I would plan for down time and travel arrangments. Good luck!

lhinojos 10-19-2015 01:32 AM

I know thats why I don't wanna drive too far out. No unfortunately I'm not on any social media at the moment.

Any reliable shops in San Diego, Ca to install my gthaus exhaust. I live in Escondido Ca 92026. Thanks

Zbrah 11-10-2015 03:19 PM

For a catback install I would look in your local area for someone to help you or pretty much any muffler shop with a lift could get it done in 30 minutes.

Seriously, any muffler shop can install a CBE without issue. With that said, American Muffler on Raytheon Road is very good.

JerryDeluxe 11-16-2015 12:55 PM

Made appointment at american muffler for wednesday. Cant wait.

JerryDeluxe 11-21-2015 11:16 AM

Apoc370z 02-01-2016 07:41 PM

Anyone know a good tire place that has the proper equipment for a lowered car? both equipment and location.

The last place I went to did a very good job but the shop is not lowered car friendly.

Preferably around the OC area.

Zbrah 02-01-2016 09:58 PM

^Google my buddies at "714 Tires". They're in Westminster.

SCOOBY JOE 02-23-2016 11:58 PM

Body Shop Alternative -- Walnut, CA and San Gabriel, CA

Here's where I would recommend body work for your Z. Look at their facility and BASF Glasurit paint.

Anyone knows good Muffler Shop in Orange County?

Uxi 04-20-2016 03:14 PM

Looks like a few years since a tint recommendation. Particularly looking for east SGV.

axmea? 04-20-2016 04:33 PM

If you can swing by Fresh Tint and you don't mind a few more miles towards the valley that would be good.

Try corner3 in Laguna... Price is respectable

Kazidesu 04-25-2016 10:34 AM

Anyone know of a good place that works on exhausts?

There was this 7" wire that lodged itself under my 370z, and it punctured the covering underneath the car right behind the drivers side seat. When I propped it up on Jacks, I saw the whole and it looked okay. Now that I am driving the car, it feels a little weak. almost as if the car is gasping for air. It doesn't have the same kick that it used to. I wonder if my exhaust was has a leak somewhere.

Thanks.

RumbleFish 06-21-2016 01:47 PM

Need a good place for electrical work in the L.A. area (JDM fog light install)

prefer someone familiar w/ Z wiring, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds Like you tore the o2 sensor wire out somehow You would know if you had an exhaust leak due to sound, but if you have a wire that's stray under your Z and your car feels like its gasping for air it could be an o2 sensor malfunction to the ECU due to this wire being broken. I would take it to a shop and have them check for you and also would look at replacing the o2 sensor wiring if not entire o2 sensor as well

Yes, I'm quite familiar w/ them...they've done a bunch of work on my Z.

However, Seb told me they've never installed one of the JDMToy fog lights and he guesstimated 2-3 hors @ $125 an hour.

Deliriousclam says it took him about 35 mins.

Hmm... I would maybe suggest my shop but with shops you never know how long it will take until it is done usually.

Maybe a DIY or having a local member help you with the install on a certain day for some food and a case of beer

RumbleFish 06-21-2016 04:24 PM

Sure. I don't object to paying someone to do it but, not 3X what the part costs:icon17:.

Thanks, I'll ask around some more.

I'll ask my shop and see what they may charge too for you. I know they don't charge $125/hr to start off lol
