Audio/Tinting shop in LA/OC?

Anybody have a recommendation for a good audio installer/tinter in the soCal area? I used JLS Mobile Sound for my 350z but it looks like they are out of business (can't find anything current on them on the web). I need to have my radar detector taken out of my current 350 and put into my new 370, along with a good tinting job.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! I live in Long Beach but am willing to travel a bit for a strong recommendation.

Try Perfect Window Tint in Santa Ana.

Thanks! I'll give Sal a call. Any idea if they do Dynamat as well? The tire roar from my '03 is part of the reason that I'm upgrading to the 370 and I fear that I may still need to put a bit in...

Don't think they do dynamat or audio installs in general, but you can ask.

That shop is good for huper optik. If you want a regular metallic tint, there are probably cheaper options.

Will do. Thanks again! What are you driving?

Hey Lou! I was just poking around the sponsorship page to see what options there were out there. I'm looking to have my radar detector removed from my 350 this week (probably Friday), then drive up to SF to pick up the new 370, trade in my 350, then spend a couple of days driving back down the 1.

Once I get back, I need to reinstall the radar detector and get some tinting. I am planning to have a clear bra put on the car up there near the dealership so I don't risk rock chips on the trip back down.

Also *may* be interested in dynamat if the road noise is still excessive on the 370. It was very comfortable on the street but I wasn't able to test drive it on the highway. Since that's where I do most of my driving, I'm going to wait and see what the basic sound dampening is like.

Can you give me a feel for the cost to swap out the detector and get some tint? Also, what kind of clear bra do you offer (3M, Xpel, etc) and what is the cost for full hood, front fascia/bumper and side mirrors? I hope to get it done as soon as I drive off the dealer lot but if it's not feasible I'll have it done as soon as I return.

The only place I ever take my car/s for this kind of work is Pacific Star Line in Torrance on PCH & Hawthorne Blvd. You'd be hardpressed to find better attention to detail. I love those guys.

I ended up going to UltimateShield in Orange (sorry, Lou, but they were a lot closer). Sean did a fantastic job on both the VentureShield and the tinting. They weren't the cheapest, but their work was quality!

Any problems with the 370z windows coming down every time you open the door and possibly ruining a fresh tint?
