SoCal Members (Off Topic)

I'm hoping all SoCal members use this thread to discuss everything going on in SoCal from local meets discussions to local car shows and what not. I'm seeing a pattern of loading the actual meet and greet threads with regular talk and such, which is fine but it's causing that the recent info to whats going on with an event to be lost to new people and such, so use this thread to discuss anything to changes to any events or (shoot the breeze?) This will make it easier for the Op's to keeping their threads less cluttered. Thank You to Everyone for making Cali or SoCal rock with big and small events.

Now whats everyone wearing? :ugh2:

Nope just a universal one.

Trips 12-29-2010 04:26 PM

I thought they had specific maps for the different mods you had on the car?

You might want to call Technosquare if they will host 2011 dyno day. I think they did once or twice in 2010. They always give discount on the dyno day.

It's around $700 for the dyno/tune.

Anyways any meets scheduled after new years?

Sounds like a great idea Paul, if we can have enough guys do a dyno day before the weather gets hot? Should be nice :)

zero 12-29-2010 05:03 PM

^Without dyno is about $550. Without dyno, Tadashi of Techosquare will take the car with his laptop, driving around for a few blocks collecting data off the car, then he'll reflash the ECU.

I wouldn't mind a before and after dyno.

Thanks for the input junior :tiphat:

Other way around, we can ask Waizz if he has contact with Chebosto on my350 board. Chebosto has a direct contact with technosquare.

Yea, either way would be cool

Fly1 Motorsports 12-29-2010 05:28 PM

Getting a hold of Tadashi/Technosquare is a nightmare. After a month of trying to schedule and dealing with their receptionist from hell - I just got an Uprev Tune on Stillen's dyno. Aaron and Sam are really good guys - and it ran me $550ish. I was happy w/ the gains (+8-9hp). Not to mention I learned after that Technosquare doesn't do 2010s yet...

Trips 12-29-2010 05:32 PM

Thanks theflyest1 for chiming in, that glitch would have to be resolved by a close contact so if something gets planed? there are no issues, and it goes smoothly.

I forgot you name? I know we meet at the status meet not too long ago?

Genaro :tiphat:

Haha, this thread is turning out as intended!

Waiz 12-29-2010 05:55 PM

Wassaapppenning gents.

Trips, I will stop de-railing my own thread with side-talk and keep those discussions here or in PM. :icon17:

I agree that it makes it difficult to convey information for upcoming meets if we're making fun of Ninja shoes, dead cameras, or lambo doors. LOL

In regards to Technosquare, there will be some changes coming for 2011 which I have been asked not to discuss. I have heard that Church is another good place to use as well as SP Engineering.

Church is known for Honda. I've heard rumor that he blew Nissan engine tuning on the dyno.

Waiz 12-29-2010 06:16 PM

I don't have any direct experience with any of the tuners so I can't confirm anything else except Technosquare.

Ed from Precision Z recommends Church though, and he's probably the best resource I know of.
