YouTube - Lane Challenged Drivers 2010

yesterday, Sheriff was parked at the lookout and got to see a 1991 Buick LeSaber do some mad tight drftin yo and a nice yellow ticket prize from the LA county sheriffs, but above is the hall of shame still they really have no idea the risk they put them selfs and others in.

I can't understand a thing you said and that video was a waste of my time.

People can not drive. I am not surprised.

Idiots!!

m4a1mustang 12-27-2010 07:42 PM

I hate morons that can't stay in their own lane... It's not a damn racetrack.

Waiz 12-27-2010 08:08 PM

Wow Trips, that video was full of idiots.

WarmAndSCSI 12-27-2010 08:09 PM

I don't understand, none of these drivers were even traveling fast enough to even need to use more than their own lane. Were they distracted by the crew on the side of the road or what?

vividracing 12-27-2010 09:39 PM

wow, that video shows how people drive performance cars incorrectly...i'm glad none of those people on the other lane didn't get hurt...

1+ :iagree:

whats the deal?

Kenny 12-27-2010 10:21 PM

damnnn. I wanted to see that Lotus kiss the guardrail.

There are inherent risks when one chooses to double lane. I have no problems crossing over when I want to apex a turn. However, I only do it late at night when the roads are empty. I rarely ever go canyon driving during the day, too many a-holes in cars and on motorcycles.

Thats possible but its likely a bunch of poor drivers on a steep grade. Throw in some curves and subtract a bunch of brain cells and you get the picture. Oh, and I bet the majority of those cars were automatic. :stirthepot:

Ahh, Mulholland. I visit every time I go to LA.

Whether you do it during the day or at night it's still stupid. You can still have fun if you stay in your lane. There's no reason to put yourself and others at risk just because you want to hit your apex... in the oncomming lane.

Lumping AT's into the mix as cause??

AT's downshift also & hold higher performance shift ratios than MT's, check out F1's or A-Burners. I have made a few (2) runs at GMR as of late, no more for me, that clip showed very very tame encounters compared to the last two runs I went on, and I'm sure many more have seen worse. The basic reason for their wonder driving is, THEY CANT DRIVE WHAT THEY HAVE, A Prius in the #4 lane on flat land at 55-mph is the option for those wonder drivers.

Take care,

No upset.

Just data, it's all in how you intake the data, if it bothers a soul then reflect inward or express. Sorry about the xxxxx that was to withdraw the original recipient note which I had entered to the wrong address. I did resend the comment to the correct address. Clear as mud?

Take care.

Hey now, mine would have gotten around just fine. It's GM that has trouble with the whole concept of things other than straight lines.

That is true they quite different from ye olde Mustangs.

m4a1mustang 12-28-2010 12:29 PM

Having a douche in the driver's seat doesn't help matters either. I feel bad for those motorcycle guys. But that was definitely a bad place for them to park. I would have parked closer to the center of the corner where it would be least likely for some douche to spin off and hit me. :icon17:

I didn't catch whether or not the GTO driver stuck around. Looks like he just took off. imo that was the biggest douche move of all.

It looked like he was thinking about just bailing but then you could see he stopped. If he left the scene he would have been in bigger sh!t because they caught him on video.

he coulda gone, hit the camera too and then took off.

christian370z 12-28-2010 05:11 PM

I just got back from Mt. Baldy today and since the moronic park rangers closed the road to the resort without any sound reason, I took my parents through GMR (was driving my dad's RX400h) and these 3 EVOs come around a corner in our lane and I had to swerve into one of those rocky turnouts.

It sucked, I felt bad for the RX but also because it scared my parents who are already not happy about the Z canyon runs I go on haha.

m4a1mustang 12-28-2010 07:40 PM

Idiots I tell you!

someone buy that and spend your week going up and down those mountain roads.. if someone comes into your lane.. just smash em!

m4a1mustang 12-28-2010 07:50 PM

I would rather just drive an M1 with rubber tracks. I wouldn't have much of an impact then. :)

That I knew about, the road had been repaired a couple days ago (confirmed with resort when I called prior) and basically park rangers closed the access road above the village to cut volume to the resort. All the locals who came down from the resort told all the (somewhat angry) people waiting that there was not a single issue with the road and that they couldn't see why it was closed. There was a road closure issued at 9am but it was to remain open before 9am, however we showed up around 8:15am and it was already closed for 30 minutes.

Oh well, that is some gnarly footage though. The stream running alongside Mt. Baldy rd was still pretty swollen today.
