Sweetness! I just wanna make sure to try and get different angles, and a Front looking/Rear looking shot so we can get the whole line on film.

I hate generalizing but motorcyclists are tied as the worst of all motorists period. Lane splitting at 30+mph in dead locked traffic on 405, driving through canyons like they own the road and generally acting like they are above the law. The only people who come close are the nincompoops texting or reading stuff while driving. Ugh... (/rant)

Nice ideas on the mounting location, since I generally lead I am really excited to try out a rear facing mount on the hatch glass as well as interior shots but we shall see!

just got out of class and for this week my homework is reading all of hamlet and writing two papers. That's just for one class! FML :shakes head:

I hear you man, I thought the first week or two of classes will be slow but nope. I already have two papers due on friday. WHY!!!

Christian, I'd like a copy of the finalized route. I'm pretty sure I won't be there by 7:00 am. I have enough trouble getting to my weekday morning class at 10:45 am. Perhaps I could catch up you guys mid-morning. I don't mind sharing the road w/ other cars and motorcyclists as I always stay in my lane. I'm still breaking-in my Z and will be following the speed limit.

Sure thing Kenny, I will get that out to you! Trust me though, as a fellow college student it is worth the painful 5:30am alarm!

Don't worry. You won't be the only one without one lol. Whenever we make stops, you'll see who does/does not have one. It will be unmistakable. :rofl2:

Will add you to the OP, congrats on making it through brake in! Now let the real games begin... You won't really need an oil cooler depending on how hard you drive (both what the conditions permit as well as your comfort level) but there were times where I would have easily hit limp mode if I did not have a cooler.

It makes a huge difference as my oil temps went from 260-270 down to 220 at most, and that is driving the car as hard as I could while the 260-270 was tame in comparison. Chris is speaking the truth, wait till you watch who puts their hoods up or not. :icon17:

If anyone needs the route map, I have that available so PM me if interested. I will also print out a number of hard copies for the run itself to distribute, it includes the rest stops as well.

Sent that out to ya. Does your semester look like it is going to be pretty heavy in terms of course work?

it's always heavy...im on 8 week sessions so classes are accelerated

christian370z 01-13-2011 01:35 AM

Ah, that would explain it. That sounds like a great way to get a lot of credits done in a shorter amount of time versus a traditional semester type schedule. Well, I hope you can end up making it either way!
