Unfortunately, we did not Diori. It was getting really slick once we got to the intersection of Kanan and Mulholland. At that point, it was all for the better when we called it quits.

Next time though! I have some more ideas for routes; tradervic and I talked about various routes so that should be awesome.

That was fun for a short run. As cold it was outside, my oil temp was a little over 240degree!!! I guess an oil cooler is my next thing I'll buy for the car.

I'm surprise that camera guy was out so early.

Having an oil cooler made all the difference for me. Last time, I was going in between 3rd and 4th and was not pushing the car that hard and my oil temps were sitting at 260 by the top of Piuma. This morning, I was really hammering on it in 2nd and 3rd and even though the rpms never went below 4k rpm, the oil temps never went higher than 200 degrees.

Keeping the engine cooler makes it much more responsive and punchy as well due to heat soak and the various disadvantages of the engine running hot. I think we caught the camera guy right when he got there since he scrambled to get my picture on the way back haha.

Yeah you guys are hardcore :driving:. I couldn't keep up. I was in 2nd gear most of the time and my oil temperature was staying at 220.

'Cept for my close call because of the dirt I think everything went well.
I think I'm improving...LOL anything really would be an improvement from my first run with you, vic, and marco.

christian370z 10-23-2010 11:37 PM

Yeah, all I remember seeing was you going into the turn and then I see a huge ploom of dust and dirt shoot up haha. Your extra tire size and LSD definately let you accelerate out of turns much faster than I could though!

I am just thankful I did not embarrass myself in front of Triple's...

you can see in the video that i started backing off after i slid and trips started pulling on me more. I'm going to upload the vids to youtube and link it here. I just need to trim them first because the duration is too long.
Also, the angle was better than my last vids but not as good...and the damn keyes paper on my windshield was blocking the view a little.

A couple more runs and a few different mounting locations and you will find the best one eventually! Btw; did you feel the NST pullies made a difference on your car?

Not really cause I got them installed 3 days after the exhaust install...

christian370z 10-24-2010 12:10 PM

That's good to know, I am undecided between my next mods but NST pullies are on the list. Well, today is a beautiful sunny day lol. WTH sunny southern California?

ncheung85 10-24-2010 03:51 PM

It is a nice sunny day for driving.

But somehow the sun brought out all the stupid dangerous drivers today. Almost got into 3 accidents earlier. Yes, 3 separate accident.

And none of them would have been my fault.
