Personally, I avoid the front side of Angeles Crest below Upper Big Tujunga...too much traffic and too many accidents. You might want to try going up the back way via

Personally, I avoid the front side of Angeles Crest below Upper Big Tujunga...too much traffic and too many accidents.
You might want to try going up the back way via Foothill / Oro Vista to Big Tujunga and beyond. I may be there on 10/15. We meet at the 7-11 on Oro Vista & Foothill around 9:30-10a
