I have a couch available. I get up early to drive so it's not a party cabin, but it works for a place to lay your head.

I split the cost of the room 60/40 with me picking up the 60.

Just wanted to post that Mrs. Mults and I have cancelled our reservation at Fontana Village Resort yesterday, so there is at least one room available in the Lodge. We are going on a big trip in September for our 30th Anniversary, so we decided to cancel ZdayZ for this year.

Hate to miss it, but there is always next year. Good luck to all on getting this room :)

We've had luck in the past calling Fontana starting about a month before ZdayZ and have almost always gotten a room. Last year we were in one of the fireplace rooms (not the Lodge) but this year we called a month after ZdayZ was over, we were able to get a room in the Lodge.

ZdayZ has always been one of our favorite events, so I am sure that we will be back either next year or soon after. All I can say is keep trying and good luck in getting a room...

And regarding the wait list, I have no faith in them honoring the waiting list, to be honest...

Always been on the list for rooms and/or cabins, they never called me but a friend who just called in for a room, got one no problem. I don't know, man, this is my 4th year and I have yet to get a call from Fontana.

I second this. They don't seem to monitor the wait list. You're better off calling them and asking if there's a room.

LOL! The lady told me that they would call if something came available, but in the next sentence told me to still call once a week... :shakes head:

I've also been on the wait list without any calls. So, I just call A LOT until one becomes available.

Cool, I have been through it the last month or so. I can't wait.

So, I know it's late but, I just decided to go up for zdays. What are some suggestions for hotels. I will be heading up there Friday afternoon.
