Here is my car. Stock Nismo, although I have had about 20 guys come up to me in the last week or so and tell me what I need to do. |
I think Kelly and I figured out what is wrong with my car.. Cracked flywheel might be causing the ECU to pull timing. Found a write up my Morgan, his symptoms on his 7AT are exactly like mine.
Man, trying not to do big jobs anymore. Got to pull the trans out, good time to install the trans cooler I guess.. Will try to get this diagnosed and fixed as soon as possible. :tiphat: |
Good luck man! Stock flywheel?

Did some work.. I pressurize each TB and got no leaks around the base. That was were I thought the boost leak was coming from but it's not. After pressurizing again I could smell fuel so I felt around and under the Stillen Intake Manifold. In the back towards the rear under everything I felt the air "Lots of it" so thats good to know. Boost Leak + Cracked Fly Wheel= a Ton of lost power . Well I know what I will be doing for X-Mas ;( ... I hope the intake isn't warped any... At least I know what I need to do now..:stirthepot: So after all that I vacuumed the car out with my new car vac I got for $12.00 in the clearance pile.. http://www.the370z.com/members/nut_n...5-img-1422.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/nut_n...4-img-1424.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/nut_n...6-img-1425.jpg |
well, it came off my MT....let me know if it will work or not.....probably not though.

Yeah, that's a big box, you'll have to yank the spare or say by to your trunk.

It'll sound good, the z is small. I got a kicker L7 solo 8" in a .7 sealed box and it hits really good, just doesn't get all the lows Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hello Tampa area Z folks...anyone have a black 370z rear cargo cover collecting dust in their garage they want to part with for a reasonable price? I also make it over to the Orlando area often for work, so I can pick up there too. I am not going to pay the Nissan price for a new one and would like to avoid shipping charges. My base model Z didn't come with a rear cargo cover.
Thanks, Rob |
Happy New Year everyone. Looking forward to some fun Z times in 2014.
:tiphat: |
Here I've been hanging out in the "OFFICIAL Florida" thread not even realizing there was a dedicated Tampa one. :shakes head:
Add me to the list of Tampa folks willing to meet up and help out with anything. Done quite a few things to my car all by myself and would like to assist someone else if they need anything. Currently I'm in need of a recommendation for a decent paint shop. "Overbuffed" the front passenger fender and got down to the primer and would like someone to patch that up for me. Let me know if you've had any good experiences in the Sarasota/Tampa area with a particular painter. Thanks! |

Anyone going to IFO this weekend coming up? I may try and get my limping butt out to the show. Try and meet up at the Hess before the track, or if your coming south on 75 we can meet at our house then roll out to the show together. PM me for my number if you don't have it and let me know.

Sounds like a fun time. Its on Sunday, right?
