April 28th Mountain cruise!
 

Let's get the SC, GA, and NC Zs together!

When: April 28th at 12pm

Where: Sunset, SC. Intersection of highway 11 and highway 178. Mobil gas station.

Why: To get as many local Z enthusiast together for a fun day of driving, eating, taking pictures, and hanging out.

Our plan is to meet up in the morning. Head out for some driving. We did this back in August so we figured it was about time to do another one. There is no set route but we have a few good roads that we can hit while out. Eventually the plan is to end up somewhere for dinner and drinks. I'm thinking maybe Clemson this time. :tup:

Everyone is invited so bring your friends.

I have a track day that weekend. Then ZDayZ is only two weeks after.

Trying to decide if I should go ahead and get an oil cooler and brake setup before this event.

Well from our last experience I would say a maybe on the oil cooler but you shouldn't need any brake upgrades. I might look into the brake upgrade mself so I want have to worry about hitting your back bumper, lol!

The Walter Mitty Challenge?? I will be camping out at Road Atlanta starting Thursday afternoon through Sunday. Let me know if you and Dana are still coming down.

Gonna try to come especially if we can end up in Clemson. I may have to work, if so I could meet up for dinner if Clemson is still final destination.

less people isnt a bad thing btw. We've run some mountain cruises here in GA.

with alot of people it was cool n all, but then when most people left and we took one or 2 more passes up the road with 3-5 cars it was a BLASST

That's true. I've have already arranged the trip so I'm definitely going to be there.

Less than 2 weeks and counting. My new goodies should be here today and final tuning tomorrow. :happydance:

It's basically up 276 (Look up Ceasar's Head State Park) and back down 178 (Rocky Bottom). Both roads are great but depending on when you go the traffic can be bothersome.

Hey Will what was that other road we were talking about hitting up the next time? If im not mistaking it was the one that went up past sliding rock. From what I have heard it suppose to be awesome...

I honestly don't remember. I will check out the Map later today.

Will I called Russ and looked it up on google maps. It is Hwy 215. He said it is a must! Also he said that a three hour loop is to run 178 to 215 to Blueridge PkWay to 276 and back down through Ceasars Head. Let me know what yall think...
