Yeah, what time?

I'm hoping to get there by no later than 3pm in case I need to get something done there.

'10Anamoly 06-18-2010 04:08 PM

I'm probably down for a morning run out there (10am ish?) before the day gets busy.

My JDM Fog Light -- Thanks Z1

Just thought I'd shared some pics of my JDM fog light installed by Z1 today. Chris and I were over there today and the guys were great. John and Dustin, I appreciate the great care you showed to my 370. I will see you guys at Dyno Day on July 3rd.

It was only about $85 plus installation. Just go out there and speak to Dustin or John. They'll take care of you.

Looks like they hooked it up to the parking lights with no switch. Is this correct?

James - Did you order it through Z1 or did you buy the light elsewhere? Looks nice!

They connected to my headlights like the JDM set up. I opted not to go with the switch.

I bought it through Z1. Thanks! I saw a few weeks ago while driving behind Kevin, it made the car look so different. Chris and I had a good time out there yesterday.

Jumpin800agl 06-20-2010 08:00 AM

Nice to see the Atlanta area Z scene is still alive and well. Much more activity here than on the 350z side apparently.

matrix_square 06-20-2010 10:25 PM

congrats on the fog light

Looks good man... I got my rear fog light from Dustin at Z1 also. But did my own install and crimped it to my tail lights/head lights.

'10Anamoly 06-21-2010 07:19 AM

I have to second this, Z1 did a heck of a job installing that fog light. Mucho props!

Dustin@Z1 06-21-2010 08:18 AM

James - The Z looks good at night. I knew that Fog was bright!

The factory Reverse Fog light is supposed to have a "Fog" Switch. Even with the switch ON, it will only activate the light when the head lights are switched ON.

To make the installation simple and painless, I suggest tapping into the Tag Light wires. The Fog Light does not pull that much power and will not trigger the blown blub light on the dash. Once you tap into these wires, you can simple drop the wires down the inside of the rear fascia and connect it to the fog light. Just make sure you secure the wires away from the exhaust. I will be supplying all reverse fog lights with an extended harness and 2 Scotch-Lock connectors for a quick install, however I HIGHLY recommend soldering the wires for a much more connection.

I'm sorry you won't be in attendance Mike. Hopefully, we'll see you at the next gathering.

I've been in communication with the guys at Z1 about the Dyno Day on July 3rd and we're trying to get an idea of how many people plan on coming so the food and drinks can be purchased.

Please let me know if you plan on attending or not so I can get them some numbers. We hope to see all of you there. If not, hopefully you can make it to the next gathering.

So far this is who will be in attendance:

Kevin -- kevr6
James -- Z1804
Jonathan -- Viera
Chris -- '10Anamoly
Jeff -- jtroun
Kerry -- TN GTM TT
Daisuke -- daisuke149

I can't make it on July 3rd

atl370z 06-22-2010 09:40 AM

is it stupid to dyno a bone stock 370z with only K&N drop in?
Maybe I could find out how much hp gain I get from the drop in, my guessing is probably 2hp?:excited:

NewlyIMPORTed 06-22-2010 12:40 PM

i will be 100% going to the dyno day on the 3rd so count me in!!!!!

ATL370Z,
It is actually highly recommend to dyno it now since your car is so close to being stock. Normal dyno fees range from $60 ~ $80 for three pulls. This is a golden opportunity to do some base line dyno pulls to document the starting point of you project Z. For $25, you cannot go wrong.

Dustin

Work Varianza T1S Wheels

I just ordered the Work Varianza T1S in a black polish finish in 20s.:stirthepot:

20x9.5
20x11

I got a great price on them. Let me know what you think!

Thanks to Kev for taking the time to help me understand and decide the best offset to go with.

I have no idea how people are able to wait 8-12 weeks for their orders, but I have no choice. I'm told that it will go by in a heartbeat, but it sure does not feel like it.

kevr6 06-25-2010 08:48 AM

Very nice!! You have good taste, sir!! These cars are meant for the dish effect!!

a dealership bent one of my iforged wheels on my 350z and I had to wait 3 and a half months for a replacement, so I know what its like!

kevr6 06-25-2010 09:54 PM

Took me 5 to 6 months to get my wheels after being to told 8 to 10 weeks.

That's not very encouraging Kev...:shakes head: That would put me in 2011. Why did it take so long, outside of the fact that it was coming from Japan?

I just think I was the first person to order that wheel. Plus They were made to order with Inner TPMS valve stem. (Second hole drilled out)

Gotcha....I hope my deadline is more accurate because I know I'm not the first. Not even close........I told him to drill the holes for the TPMS too.

'10Anamoly 06-26-2010 02:43 PM

Sharp looking rims James!

On a side note: MAD PROPS to Z1 for helping me install my JDM fog light and wire it up. Looks so much better than the OEM blacked out panel. Booyah!

Sharif@Forged 06-26-2010 06:41 PM

Guys looking for special and custom wheels, we offer HRE's with 3-4 week turnaround time in most cases. No super long waits.
