Stock white 2013 370Z at Publix in Summerport?

Niche79 09-09-2013 03:03 PM

I took a trip to Jax over the weekend, in that short 2 1/2hr drive I saw 7 370z's no less! I was blown away, never have I seen so many! EVER. 2 on the exact same exit in Jacksonville at Blanding blvd, a black cherry and a brilliant silver driven by some lady in her 50s. Was pretty cool but I noticed I picked up 2 new rock chips that the clear bra did not cover, makes me mad how cheap the paint is. Maybe I shouldnt have taken the Z but I hadnt drove it in 2 weeks and wanted some fun. BTW stay away from North Florida, the Love bugs are out in FORCE there....WOW swarms around vehicles yuck.

Eventually you will have to accept the rock chips. Stop kickin yourself for driving that sexy beast.

They'll be around for a month or so. Dawn and dusk are their favorite times. I'm going to hate my water bill next month. :shakes head:

Mr&Mrs 09-10-2013 02:08 PM

You are in good hands big club in your area. South Coast Florida Z Club or something like that.

I washed the car as soon as I got back. I found the Armor All bug remover works the best to get that junk off! Just shoot it on and wipe it off a minute later with a microfiber cloth. Then wash the car! Works like a charm:) I was washing my one Honda today and as im going over it love bugs were landing on the car!!!! My Z is done being driven till they are gone, I hate having to rush to wash them off the next day, sucks. They should last a month and will be done then. They are few here and there but north florida was swarms around cars, seriously swarms....scary!

LinPark 09-10-2013 03:41 PM

A month? I thought they only lasted like a week - worst part is when your radiator gets clogged up with them and the smell of the windshield washing bins at the gas stations - DISGUSTING!

I understand 2 weeks is the average but I could be wrong.

Saw a white 370 in Tally this morning. Lowered, wheels, and exhaust from what I could tell. Anyone want to own up to the beauty?

Yeah I am a big ? because I want my car right to show it. If I cant find time to get it to the body shop soon there is no chance I will make it. Since I plan on trailering it up, I can skip the clutch install because it still drives fine. I just cant put the pedal to the metal right now or it slips.

It sucks too because it is a spot just bigger than a pencil eraser that chipped off of the wheel line of the bumper. I just dont want it to be seen like that :icon17:

Huck 09-14-2013 06:14 PM

Dude I had a few chips and scratches on my baby, the dealershit gave me a paint pen to use, didn't help worth a damn. It's two totally different colors 😡 so now I have to remove it and figure something else out.

I would never use a color pen to small of an area to match with the pearl paint. It must be blended. Even if I didnt mind using a paint pen, I cant, the gel coat on the fiberglass chipped and needs to be filled.

Nice! I need to check out the dr. Colorchip, I don't know much about fixing chips or scratches :(

DatsunFTW 09-18-2013 06:44 AM

I was driving down the road and some bozo in a jeep drove over a thin metal coil of some sort and flung in into my front bumper. It only went through a small layer of paint but its still very annoying to look at since it takes up half the bumper :(

I guess I would have to take a picture of my "chip". Dr. Color chip will not fix my problem.

True, it won't fix everything - I've used it a few times on my car and if you use it in the right application it is very effective.
