So check this out...I was on US 19 over in Palm Harbor/Pinellas County just crusing around Friday night, this Red M3, I'd say 2006, with black rims pulls up next to me. He guns it on the take off, and I'm like eh what the heck, so we pull up to the next light. I look over at him and give him a "it's on" look. Light turns green, I floor it, he floors it and spins out of control :rofl2:

after he gets out of his tailspin, catches up to me, and we go at it again from a 50 mph rolling start. pretty much toe to toe. I didn't even red line it, so maybe I could have pulled ahead :)

i know for sure you could have pulled ahead, just depends on your comfort level at speed. :driving:

I know...I felt I was holding back some. It's not everyday I'm driving around that fast. plus was scared about any other cars that would pop out and cops.

Only other time i hit that speed was with a friend when he was driving his 350.

I do not think we are aloud to talk about street racing on the forum. I would not have been doing anything next to a guy that cant even keep it straight out of the hole anyway. Be careful!

Might want to change the way you have it worded then because that is exactly what it sounds like. Im no saint by any means but I do agree with keeping storys like this off the forum.

Festivals of Speed this Sunday at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando from 10am-4pm. I'm registered, but my car won't be finished in time :/

not sure about orlando but I do know a fellow z'er here in tampa that does the car wraps and graphics. justin at redlinedesigns does a great job.

i am going, there is about 50 z's confirmed at this point (all years) that have pre registered. so it should be a good time.

so, if i don't register and just want to spectate, does that mean i have to park away from all the other Z's? And can you register onsite? I just won't be able to stay there all day.

I am not sure about the parking situation. as far as registering you can do that the day of it will be 25 instead of 20. I do not plan staying past 3 myself.

Hey guys . . . I've had my magnetic black '11 370z for about a month now and would love to know if there's other in the area that do meets, shows, etc. I'm located in Port Saint Lucie, Fl. I'm fairly new here in the area. My fiancee and I moved here about six months ago. Anyone who is in the area or knows any local car clubs, please PM me and let me know.

Was in the Middle Keys for 2 weeks - for that entire trip I only saw two 370Z's and both were on I-75 yesterday - one looked to be a brand new Magma Red Coupe on Alligator Alley (GORGEOUS!) and the other was a Dark Cherry Convertible around exit 138.

If you want to see what the new Mustangs look like, go to the Keys - every other car down there is a brand new Convertible Mustang!

Anyone make it to Simply Clean 4 yesterday? I spotted a few modified 370z's, including two blue Amuse'd ones, one that had a front mount.

Either way, that was one hell of an event. They need to figure out the parking situation, but otherwise, that was the biggest show I've been to.
