Alright...I just remembered tonight is the UFC fight. I'll probably end up watching that since both fighters were talking a bunch junk to each other. Hopefully it's a good match.

Anyone want to set up a fall cruise. I know its aways out but with football, work, and kids I figured it would be a good time to get the ball rolling! Late September or early October? Check your schedules...

I'm down. What works better for more people Sept 30th or October 7th?

I would probably rather have it the 7th. Clemson has a big home game against GA Tech on the 6th.

Rooskey 07-11-2012 03:49 PM

I can do September the 30th. I'll have Gavin on October 7th. If were gonna do a Sunday we should starts around 10:30, but yall need to tell me 10 so I will be there on time!!

RedNismoZ 07-11-2012 10:40 PM

How much are nismo car covers? I'm trying to get rid of mine.

Actually thats a great idea. Lets go out the night before since we all have to get up early on Monday and go to work. Everybody drive up Saturday afternoon, get settled in, and then lets meet up downtown for dinner and a few drinks! Then Sunday we can hit the mountain roads... I love it when a plan comes together!!!

ClemsonWill 07-13-2012 08:10 AM

Well I guess I better go ahead and order that clutch cable. lol

I still have my factory Nismo system if you need something to get you by. Your more than welcome to it as long as you keep it clean and take care of it. Dont want to sell it though...

Rooskey 07-15-2012 10:40 PM

Hey guys what do yall think of the new Akuma intake set up? To me im not to concerned with the tuning part. The larger diameter pipes seem cool

Thanks for the offer but I still have my stock stuff and will be putting it back on.

so apparently when the geico rep said the parts to fix my car thankfully weren't backordered, he actually meant they were backordered and had no idea when they'd be here. makes wiring the fog light i bought difficult... don't want to stick it on a broken bumper.

anyway, which design do y'all think i should go with? i'm open to new ideas too. also, i'm wiring it to function as a brake light.

Yeah, seems like a great product. And I really like the fact that they are trying to support their design by getting proof of it's performance. Then posting it to the forum. Many of the big companies do their own numbers and that's the last you hear from them on it. But honestly I would wait till they have a few more people driving with them. Those maf sensors have been proven to be be very temperamental. I know it's a whole other ball game, but intrigue had issues with his single turbo setup and the maf sensors because of the piping design (even with tuning).

Just got word my 2013 Black Nismo will be here next month :)
I'm getting it without the crappy Bose system that seems to be a standard in the nIsmo's now unless specified by the dealer not to get... Added weight for 1500 extra, No thanks :)

864Zbeast 07-16-2012 06:53 PM

Can't wait to see pics!!!

djtodd 07-16-2012 08:13 PM

Awesome! We gotta go for a cruise

Volk Z 07-16-2012 08:59 PM

Absolutely to both Zbeast and DJTodd!

Already ordered my first mod- Tommy Kaira shift knob :)
Day 1 the entire car minus the rear bumper is getting clear bra wrapped.
Then Sparco Evo seats in Red and then the list goes on and on!
I literally have a list in order of mods to do..

Have you confirmed if it is going to look just like the 09-12s?

djtodd 07-17-2012 10:04 AM

Should have red calipers and (option?) gunmetal wheels. Other than that I don't think anything else has changed cosmetically.

djtodd 07-17-2012 10:06 AM

Hey Chad,
Who are you getting to do the clear-bra install? I've been looking around for a good shop in the area.

Volk Z 07-17-2012 02:45 PM

Just PM'd you DJTodd

Yeah there is a thread on here that showed a pic of a 2013 NISMO.
Same body but red calipers, gunmetal wheels (same wheels), GTR brake lines and race brake fluid and i believe thats it..

You can now get an optional BOSE system with 2 subwoofers but thank God its just an option i opted to get one without so i dont add any unnecessary weight with the subs...

Thanks! I will be sure to meet up at some point... Im not going to overwhelm myself with mods for every weekend projects but it will be all completed probably 6 months or so after i get the car.

I decided to do the TK shift knob and Sparco seats first :)

Anyone know how to make the resistor for the airbag light for when i yank the seats?

Also is anyone interested in the NISMO seats before i post on the forum? I would hook up a fellow SC Z person over having to ship them... Hell i will even install them if you want :)

864Zbeast 07-17-2012 03:14 PM

I'd love those wheels but probably couldn't afford them :(

slm 07-17-2012 04:59 PM

had to go to traffic court in NC today. drove there and back with the top down. forgot to wear sunscreen. it burns so bad...

Matthew 07-18-2012 07:17 AM

Cars in the shop lets see how much this cost me. This is getting into my brake funds!!

Matthew 07-18-2012 07:54 AM

Well the exhaust is fuked!!! So I am going back to stock. I am thinking about a motordyne y pipe to complement the stock exhaust. Any opinions on this?

Im sure it would help out for sure, but I think you may need to get away from the stock mufflers in order to free up the most power. I remember you saying that you didnt like how loud it was. Is there another exhaust that may not be as loud but still be free flowing?

It's is like night and day now with the sound in the cab, and I kinda like it. I was just thinking the y pipe to free up a little more air flow and a little sound. I don't think I want to spend the money on a whole new setup. I am about to do the brake up grade from Z1 and think money will be better spent there.

How did the sale of the Toyota go! Did you get what you wanted out of it?

I can sell you the Nismo exhaust off my Nismo when it comes in for a great price :)
