I have no interest in what kind of times I can lay down in my all stock car, I can read magazines for that. I am interested in how it feels when I go on mountain drives. I have nothing against drag strips or trying to achieve personal best times but it's not as exciting to me as a spirited run on a good mountain road.

Zensation 06-16-2014 08:29 PM

Well I don't think anyone will be down to go on a mountain run Thursday night. C'mon Patrick this isn't Tokyo drift. Lol. But I would agree I would rather handle better which is why I went with the particular suspension setup I'm running after a couple of chats with various dudes. It actually handles pretty darn well now I'm surprised.

HKYStormFront 06-16-2014 08:40 PM

Yeah I didn't mean Thursday night lol. I also don't like drag strips because it puts so much stress on the drivetrain. A highway pull every once in a while is one thing but to beat on my car all night at a drag strip is not something I'm particularly interested in. Regardless, if you've already committed to it with a friend, that's not a problem! Nobody said you have to join us, though it'd be nice, my friend.

Gents, any suggestions for eatery on Thursday? Brandon suggested Zoe's off of Woodruff road near I85 but we're not set on that. Let's see what everyone would like to do and try to make a final decision by tomorrow night... That good for everyone? I'll probably have a few C&C friends join from the area as well if they are available.

Gadgetech 06-16-2014 08:42 PM

I've heard good things about Zoe's but have not eaten there so I'm game.

I hadn't heard of it but Brandon says it's good. Let's do that unless anyone is paralytically opposed to it and has another suggestion. Say 7pm-ish till whenever? Any interest in going a little earlier and going to Le Mans Karting after to get a race in?

I heard there's a special going on with the Karting. $40 for three sessions maybe?

Yeah I think so, normally it's $50 for 3 sessions. I have like 4 sessions left on my account (paid for 3, got 3 free on my birthday). If you have a helmet, and I know you do Paul, definitely bring it if you want to do that. They have some there but it'd be better to use your own if you have one. One of these days soon I'm going to break down and buy one... I'm going to need one, and a suit, if my plans work out soon :stirthepot:

You going to rent a suit to race the kart, I see they offer them? I read something about multi-packages and needing the annual race license...do you know what that's for? I did read about the helmets and will probably bring one of mine.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and just bought my first Z a week ago - a 2014 Gun Metallic base manual. Just wanted to stop by and say hello since my account has finally been activated! Hopefully will see you guys around soon!

Ha, no. There's no need for a racing suit for karting, just a helmet. They have a new license system there to track drivers. I remember getting one last time I went. I think it cost $50, but you get 3 sessions' credit so it just kinda forces you to buy the package deal if you want to drive. The credits stay on your account though so if you buy 3 on Thursday and only use 1, you can use the other 2 later.

Yea I should be able to, where's this karting place you're all talking about? I've only lived here for 10 months so I'm still learning

Well... a few of my friends keep telling me to go to a Zoe's, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. That said, the people that recommended it have pretty similar food tastes to my own. I'm also down for Thai if you guys would prefer that. I probably won't have time for the kart'ing after, which sounds awesome by the way, but hopefully next time the schedule will allow. I hate this stupid mid shift nonsense.
