yeah, the manual does state the first oil change...

yeah, the manual does state the first oil change comes at 3750 miles, and that's assuming you drive under "severe driving condition"

Thanks. Interesting stuff. I've read some mixed views on the board regarding the choice of oil. I did specify the dealer to user the Nissan ester oil for the first change. I've never tried any...

I just took my Z to the dealer for an oil change at 1200 miles. So I wonder how many of you have actually done this. Is this better for the engine this way or doesn't it really matter?

i believe this sound which the manual mentions is probably what a lot of people have experienced with the seem-to-be "rear axle clunk"

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I just got mine last week. Now with 600 miles on it, i hear clunk sound randomly when i shift from 1st to 2nd like many ppl have experienced
