Agreed. You should be in gear before you turn your wheel. Also, down shifting into 1st at 30mph is a bit excessive - yikes!

Does your friend have insurance? Take it to a reputable shop, they can probably repair the bumper. As for the light, check the parts for sale section, you might be able to find one for much less...

I had a similar experience from the stock Bridgestones to Continental DWS. The softer tire walls makes the car feel sluggish. On the bright side, the ride is more comfortable :ugh2:

I agree, I would look into removing the helper spring. This really gave it the normal clutch feel that I was accustomed to. Maybe you can meet up with a local member and you can see for yourself.
