Most racers here on the forum seem to run street tires. Ryan's car is an exception since he has a turbo, it needs all the traction it can get.

I just looked it up on the amsoil website. What you posted in the pic is TOO THIN, it's actually a 5w30. If you really want to use amsoil, use the 'synthetic manual and transaxle gear lube 75w90...

They give you a slip and every time you run they mark it off. After 3 or 4 runs they take it away. If its not crowded they let you run again and again (after they take away the card).

I don't think you're not missing much at Island Drags. I've always heard that Atco & Raceway park were the better tracks in NJ. I've even heard rumors that Atco is slightly downhill.... I doubt it...

I guesstimate a 40th to be more than that since mine was 3280 as a base sport 6mt. Not as light as a non sport but still lighter than a touring or 40th.
