Going to bump this to say this is not directly...
Going to bump this to say this is not directly related to ecutek, I have a obdlink bluetooth device and experienced the exact same thing. Seems any bluetooth obd2 device plugged in will cause this.

I opened the cap on the clutch fluid reservoir out of curiosity and it is pretty dirty, lots of black looking stuff? laying on the bottom, guess that can't be very good. Note: the clutch still works...

To be fair the older nismo's still had nismo specific seats, the recaro's are just a bit more unique. One could argue the newer nismo has a less unique exterior with the removal of the 09-14 nismo...
