Stock spring and boot with penny trick worked...

Stock spring and boot with penny trick worked down to 25F. No issue. I'm sure it would work at even lower temps.

after removing the springs (just turn it cw or ccw and pull down gently) pull down the boot (use a pick tool or small flat head screw driver)...
