the R2C has good sealing inside the engine bay and was pretty much the same when compared to factory intake (CAI) as far as IAT.

but you're right, i currently use post-maf tubes and k&n drop-ins...

even the amiuzu 350Z doridori test drove (he said fantastic performance) didn't have aftermarket intakes.. only drop-ins.

usually it would be on the leaner side until ecu compensates so you would get better mpg... but on the Z i couldn't tell when i had the R2C on. right now im on stock box KN drop-ins and HPS tubes.

i just use the kn drop-ins and post MAF tubes on mine. works great for me..and not loud like the CAI's which is a plus (for me).
