^^ smart. also check the water level once a yr or every 2 yrs especially in hot climates. open the caps one by one and shine a flash light to see if u can spot the water reflect a ( ) .

any time i dont drive the car for more than a few days i plug them in. my G will go 12yrs on stock battery next year. no issue. i dont plan on replacing the battery any time soon.

you can go much longer then dat. my G is running its factory battery from 2004. :p
and obviously my 09 is running stock battery.

honestly just get the regular batteries walmart/auto parts store sells with decent cca.

Unless you're doing some show where no access to power, no need for deep cycles.

i had a yellow top on one of my earlier hobby cars and the cca was kinda weak vs regular batteries.

honestly those batteries including the red tops are overrated.
just get a decent car battery...

Yah, you need to keep a charger on the battery if the engine is not running while you work on your car.
That is a quick way to permanently kill your battery.

cause i think it's evaporating due to the excessive heat.
