Sure you could use the pop it out with a screwdriver approach

But I didn't want folks to potentially damage the sides of the panel trying to pop out the switch with a screwdriver :facepalm:

It's compatible and if the switch fails you have the original to replace it with? warranty won't cover it since it's not the original part for that model. Have at it :)

Silver bezel gets removed first and then the...

Silver bezel gets removed first and then the shifter boot gets removed. Remove the two screws that hold the center panel pull forward and you should be able to reach the start button. hope that helps...

Outside of a wrecked one at a Wrecking yard probably not. The dealers not going to sell you just that connector. Since the connector is hidden you have a better chance of making your own.
