In MA you have to get an inspection when you buy...

In MA you have to get an inspection when you buy the vehicle, even if it is brand new. However emissions are exempt at that time. Basically they look your car over and say "Hey nice car man".

Even if it passed the sniff test it would fail...

Even if it passed the sniff test it would fail the visual inspection in CA. Replacement exhaust parts have to be CARB approved or CARB exempt.

Everywhere else it shouldn't be a problem as long as...
