Put the seat a bit forward and tilt the back down...

Put the seat a bit forward and tilt the back down instead. And tilt the bottom to set you butt lower.

I am 6'2" 210 lbs and have no problem. Lots of head and leg room. You need to tilt the seat back and you will not have any problems.

Not every car is for everyone. Personally I wouldn't be caught...
