I used ratchet straps to hold it in place then bent the hangers alittle. But I loosend the pre-muffler flanges then when it looked close enough I torqued the clamps down pretty good. If I was full on...

i had similar marks on mine, but they were inside...

i had similar marks on mine, but they were inside the tips more. If it cant be polished with steel wool and polish then I would send it back rather than making it worse with a file.
