Update

I have isolated what I am hearing, it's coming from the engine bay, under the engine cover. I noticed when I rolled the windows up it was less pronounced. Got outside the car and could hear it coming...

Yep, same here. If you always start your car straight up, and never just turn on the accessories (two clicks of the start button), the engine will tend to drown it out.
