Yes, the warm up time is reduce and oil is always at operating temp. Aam comp includes a lower temp thermostat for that reason.

The cooler core is installed at the bottom...

The cooler core is installed at the bottom radiator hose.

I have this system, although it does what it's design for my biggest issue with it is the oil pressure drop at idle or low rpm.

Edit: this system uses a laminova oil to water heat exchanger....
