G'z. You guys are going to butcher and destroy the bracket/clevis that way!

You're supposed to unload the spring by depressing the pedal. The pin slide right out with minimal effort.

I'd say the effort is similar to my late 90's camaro. No idea what the new camaro's/vettes feel like. Definitely not like hyundai or a vw. I don't even notice the marginal extra effort required...

^^You don't need to press the pedal to remove the clip. Only to remove the pin. You are right about needing to be a contortionist though. If you're a big guy, it will be difficult.

If you like torture you can. Mine got lost behind the plastic panels. Not fun taking them off to retrieve it. All you need is the bottom pin removed.

I thought there was a rather pronounced difference - both with no spring and with the weaker spring (as compared to stock), in both the down stroke and up stroke. You have less assist pushing down...

^^Next time you guys use this procedure, snap a pic. I'm having a hard time visualizing. I just pressed the pedal all the way to the floor and was able to easily get the bottom pin in.

^^Did you bench bleed the master? Did the clutch behave like this before it broke/wore out, before the repairs? If it's a completely dry system, you need to thoroughly bleed it.
