I also did the same. I created a toggle switch control when I wanted it on and off. I have mine directly connected to the cigarette lighter at the fuse box. I will update when properly installed....

$89 from eBay, OEM replacement DRL Renault Koleos
$36 for x4 of Plastic Weld (JB weld brand)
$18 for 12oz color paint match
$18 for 12 oz 2 part clear coat
$4 for 12oz...
