You're right. I just went back through my pictures and see the TWM has a white plastic ring. Weird that I don't have the rattle. Possibly because of the rubber o-ring I added. I'm sure it'll rattle...

The TWM has a plastic ring? Hmm... I have to have a look at mine again. I do know that mine doesn't rattle but I didn't drive with the stock shifter knob. Try the O-ring idea?

I have the TWM shifter boot. It has less material than the stock one and also doesn't have the plastic ring. Having said that, I use a rubber O-ring to help hold the boot up. I have seen other guys...

I didn't check the fit with the burr there. Typically you don't want burrs on any parts so I filed it off with a round file.

No issues here. Even been to the dealer a couple of times and the techs didn't say a word. My dealership is mod friendly.

1. I'm not sure why the shifts feel less notchy. Maybe because of the new lubrication? I didn't think it would change the notchy feel between shifts but it did on my car.
