by "checking the harness and saying it looks good" does that mean he eyeballed it, or did he put his DMM on the wires? My money is on a head unit issue, or a loose connection somewhere. Only 2 things...

My guess is its a head unit issue. Remove it, and check voltage at wiring harness in ACC and in Run. If both are good, its your unit. Is this a repeatable, ongoing issue??
