I guess 'scuffs' is the more appropriate term. I took a black sharpie and damp cloth to the scuffs and eliminated most of them.

Is there a remedy for removing (of covering-up) scratches on the interior plastic pieces? Some of the scratches are the type that show 'white scratches'...I would describe them as...
