You can spray it from above using the plastic...
You can spray it from above using the plastic tubing that you get with the WD40 can and aim somewhat decent on it. From below, you just can't see what you're actually spraying - could just drip...

It's much easier to get to it and apply a good...
It's much easier to get to it and apply a good amount of force to twist it off from the engine compartment, and not from below. You can reach it from below, but it is worse of a nightmare to do so....

DEMON BOLT ON HFC's
Sounds about right... except I would HIGHLY recommend a set of Bolt Extractors right from the start... that bolt had no chance once the extractor bit into it. :gtfo2: It turned ... :tup:
