I have driven my around the neighborhood a good distance (2 miles) so anything after that is worthless because most likely the car is on a truck or trailer taken away.

You can lock the car and have the engine running....

You can lock the car and have the engine running.
Actually you can drive away with the car with no key once it is started, it will just flash a warning light that no key is within the car.
