It nearly always takes a lot less force to get them back on. You are removing fasteners that have been under stress for a while and have gotten dirty and corroded, ie, they have become stuck...

If you won't be using the torque wrench often, don't get digital. The batteries will be dead the next time you go to use it. Or, worse yet, the batteries will leak.
