On the angled part of the shroud, facing the nose of the car. You might consider drilling some decent sized holes in there to get airflow on the pan. The Nismo version has a vent cut in it for that...

I have the same one. The adhesive on the label failed after 6 months, so you may want to take it off and put a stronger bonding agent on.

Attempted your air ducting mod... no real place to mount the ducting in the nismo bumper mouth. Best way I can think of is to pick up a set of brake cooling kit bumper intakes and install those.
