I'd give Tony at call at FI. He can better explain the issue of drone and how resonators work. In sum, drone occurs at specific frequencies and the resonators are designed to mute those frequencies...

Resonators do not significantly affect exhaust...

Resonators do not significantly affect exhaust volume, they are designed to eliminate drone. Thus, your AAM short tails without the mufflers will be much louder than the FI CBE.
