My 2009 Touring model had a temporary tire/wheel, and I had the sub enclosure sitting inside the wheel. If you have the same wheel or a full size wheel, then it would sit inside of the wheel.

I don't have my Z anymore, but unless they've changed something in last couple of years....the grilles and door panel are all one piece. You'll have to take the door panel off to do anything.
